SaskPower International
K-Line Western is helping wind power get somewhere – specifically from the breezy plains 25 km southeast of Swift Current all the way to Saskatchewan’s provincial power grid, adding a massive 150 megawatts (MW) of wind power. This power is being produced by 83 Vestas V80, 1.8 MW wind turbines which are spread across 50 sq. kilometers. The Centennial Wind Project is one of largest projects in Canada and yet another important wind power project for the K-Line Group of Companies. As wind power gains strength, so does the ability of K-Line to lead the way to ensuring these wind farms are connected safely, on time and with low environmental impact.
K-Line Group of Companies was responsible for:
- Installation of 71.5 km of multi-mode fibre optic cables
- Installation of 18.2 km of single mode fibre optics
- Installation of 4.2 km of grounding cable
