Corporate Structure - Historical Overview

In July 1967 E. Glenn Kellett saw an opportunity to provide a service initially to the municipal utilities market. Glenn went out and purchased his first truck, an early 1950s International Truck, with a Buick engine and an old “A-Frame” Derrick Mounted on it. The Truck was well used, but it was affordable enough to help start the business. Bringing twenty years of hands on experience, Glenn incorporated the Company and established the first office in the basement of his Scarborough home – where the company began to quickly excel.

At that point in history, the Utilities were starting to outsource for the first time and the opportunities were plentiful. With the support of the management of local utilities, Glenn received some immediate work and fully established the business. Glenn’s first employees were mostly seasoned veterans to the line trade and collectively provided a level of performance that gave way to exceptional customer satisfaction. The foundation of K-Line was built on Glenn’s common sense approach – provide good project management, provide good competent and well trained staff, and carry out exceptional quality of workmanship.

As his customer’s demands grew, K-Line met these challenges by expanding the scope of its services and resources.

Today K-Line Maintenance & Construction Limited along with its associated Companies does over $40 Million in sales annually and employs over 250 employees across Canada while still operating with similar values; “High Voltage, High Quality, High Performance.”
