K-Tek’s Laboratory Services Division is the independent, accredited testing facility of The K-Line Group of Companies.
Since 1969, Laboratory Services has tested rubber line goods including:
- Insulated gloves (class 0-4)
- Sleeves
- Blankets
- Line hose
- Hoods
- Jumpers
- Switch sticks
Meet ASTM Standards
Trained technicians strictly adhere to ASTM D120 and F496 standards for rubber glove testing and in-service care. Technicians also follow the methodology specified in the Standard Guide for Visual Inspection of Electrical Protective Rubber Products (F1236-96). Testing of bucket liners, aerial devices and plastic guards are also carried out at itscustomers’ fleet headquarters in accordance to ASTM and CSA standards.
The first Canadian laboratory to be certified by the North American Independent Laboratories (N.A.I.L.) for Protective Equipment Testing, Laboratory Services uses state-of-the-art Hanco International test equipment. K-Tek’s Laboratory Services is tested tri-annually in order to meet the stringent N.A.I.L. accreditation requirements. Technicians receive ongoing training and are accredited through the V.O.N. Corporation training facility.
Replacement of Rejects
K-Tek’s Laboratory Services stocks a full consignment inventory of Salisbury, Novox and AB Chance gloves as well as commonly used items. We provide replacements for rejected items, including single gloves and sleeves. Specialty items from leading manufacturers can also be ordered.
